* When training, don't rush things

* Don't treat a 2 year old like a 4 year old

* There is always tomorrow

* Have hooves trimmed & balanced before training

* Have teeth floated before using the bit

* If you are getting frustrated, so is your horse

* Don't use food as a bribe - don't hand-feed treats

* A horse is a horse, not a puppy

* Ground training is essential

* Always start with the basics

* Don't push your horse beyond its ability

* Always use patience and kindness

 Hello everyone , this is DL here. These tips are a beginning. I have found in the past and it always holds true. The biggest thing I have found is horses don't get the right foundation at the start.  If you don't have a good foundation you don't have anything.
